EasyCOM2INC "Ready to GO" WMI - 1.01


"Ready to GO" solution based on COM and EasyCOM2INC technologies this product demonstrates using of Microsoft WMI Scripting Library in the Clarion application.

What is WMI?
Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) is a component of the Microsoft® Windows® operating system that provides management information and control in an enterprise environment. Using industry-wide standards, WMI allows managers to query and set information on desktop systems, applications, networks and other enterprise components. Developers can use WMI to create event-monitoring applications that alert users when important incidents occur. WMI also offers a variety of programming interfaces, such as C++, ODBC, Microsoft® Visual Basic®, or HTML, that developers can use to further tailor their management applications. Finally, WMI integrates with other Windows components, such as the Active Directory, to allow for a unified management experience.

What the product demonstrates
  • How to show all logical devices and all their properties on local or remote computer;
  • How to show all processes running on local or remote computer.
  • How to read system registry keys on local and remote computer.
  • How to obtain a list of programs, installed using Windows Installer, and how to Uninstall them.
  • How to obtain required information using WQL (a subset of SQL).
  • How to use asynchronous techniques and to be notified of their progress.

System requirements
  • Clarion 6.1 9033 or higher
  • EasyCOM2INC 2.05 or higher installed.
  • Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) installed.

  • *.idl - The Microsoft® Interface Definition Language (MIDL) defines interfaces between client and server programs.
  • *_class.inc - classes definition.
  • *_class.clw - classes implementation.
  • *_class.tsf - objects description for EasyCom Template (classes, methods and arguments).
  • *_class.itf - constants description for EasyCom Template (enumerators) (not yet used).
  • *.app - Clarion6 example application (uses EasyCom Template)
